Costa’s Cruise Fleet
Costa Allegra
The play of light on glass and water transforms this magnificent ship into a floating work of art. Carrying only 800 passengers, the intimate Costa Allegra cruise ship is a vessel of imagination and opulence. Peach and rose hand cut Carrara marble, walls finished in the finest woods and decks named after famous impressionist painters. There is a glass atrium three decks high, and a dome that opens up to a 360 degree view of the sky — day or night. Fountains stream into pools that are at the same time, exquisite skylights for the public rooms below. On the Costa Allegra cruise ship, you will find art and artistry around out every corner.
Costa Atlantica
The captivating romance and pleasures of the Atlantica cruise ship begin as soon as you step aboard. Her twelve passenger decks, each named after movies directed by the famous Italian director, Federico Fellini are decorated with prominently displayed paparazzi photos of movie stars. Carrara marble, Murano-glass accents, in-laid mosaic tile and a Venetian atmosphere are among the many elements that make the Atlantica cruise ship unique from all the rest. From her awe-inspiring replica of Venice’s Caffe Florian to her incredible atrium spanning the entire ship, the Atlantica cruise ship provides a dramatic and exciting venue for her guests. Costa Classica
With its friendly and sparkling personality, the Costa Classica cruise ship is one of the best loved ships in the Costa fleet. Recently refurbished, the Costa Classica cruise ship is now even more beautiful, modern and comfortable. In the Tivoli Restaurant, exquisite murals transform windows into scenes from the Renaissance and Roman Times. The tabletops in the Puccini Ballroom depict scenes from famed Puccini operas. Situated high atop this Costa fleet ship, Galileo Disco and Observatory offers 360 degree views — an observatory by day, a state-of-the-art disco by night.
Costa Concordia
The Costa ship, Costa Concordia, is the best ship in the Costa fleet for fitness and relaxation. Completely innovative, this floating resort becomes an additional destination on your cruise. What makes this Costa Cruise ship so special? To start with, there is a fitness area on two decks, covering a total of almost 20,450 square ft., with a swimming pool in its center. The beautiful Samsara Suites have direct access to the Spa. There are also four swimming pools, two with retractable glass roofs. Choose from 13 bars, including the Bar Sport. Over 500 cabins have balconies. The decks are spacious and panoramic.
Costa Deliziosa
Together with her sister ship Costa Luminosa, the Costa Deliziosa represents Costa Cruises’ top of the range offer and is the most exclusive and innovative member of the fleet. All the features of the ship combine to create an experience of “sheer pleasure” that will last the entire length of the cruise vacation. This is readily apparent in her cutting-edge design and use of premium materials such as various types of marble and granite, stucco applied by spatula using the technique known as “spatolato veneziano” and other decorative interior finishes including “parchment scroll” lamé, refined Zebrano wood and Wenge timber, Murano glass, and stylish polished and glazed steel. Featuring in the stunning atrium, very much the focal point here as on all Costa ships, are fine works of art, notably “Sphere” by Arnaldo Pomodoro, Italy’s greatest living sculptor, and “Delizia fisica e Delizia intellettuale” (Physical Delight and Intellectual Delight), a piece by leading contemporary Italian painter Mario Donizetti.
Whether it’s fun or relaxation, there are incredible entertaining things to do on board, all involving the use of leading-edge technology: 4D cinema; roller skating track; the latest generation super-realistic Golf simulator, with a real outside putting green; Grand Prix driving simulator, produced from an original GP car with the same software and technology used by the F1 champion drivers themselves in training; the exclusive 3500 m² “Samsara Spa” wellness centre with the Technogym Kinesis circuit; “PlayStation World”, an area on board dedicated exclusively to PlayStation3, plus the “PlayStation on demand” cabin service.
