Route

Day 1: Sharm El Sheikh

It is a city situated on the southern tip of the Sinai Peninsula, in South Sinai Governorate, Egypt, on the coastal strip between the Red Sea and Mount Sinai. Surrounded by a vast and arid desert, Sharm El Sheik has one of the richest tropical seas of the world in terms of variety and concentration of marine life. Watersports, scooba activities, excellent climate throughtout the year, amusements and excursions make Sharm el Sheik an ideal holiday spot for tutti!

Day 2: Sharm El Sheikh – 19:00

It is a city situated on the southern tip of the Sinai Peninsula, in South Sinai Governorate, Egypt, on the coastal strip between the Red Sea and Mount Sinai. Day 3: Port Said – 22:00

Port Said is a city in Egypt, the entry point of the Suez Canal by the Mediterranean. It is situated on one bank of the canal. The origins of Port Said is that of a working camp founded in 1859 by Said Pasha to house men working on the Suez Canal. By the late 19th century, it was an important port where all the major maritime powers had consulates. Much of the city was built on a section of Lake Manzala which was reclaimed by landfill. It is one of the most beautiful cities of Egypt. There are many old houses with large balconies on each floor. Its twin city, Port Fouad (Bur Fouad) is located on the eastern bank of the Canal and it is accessible by free ferry.

Day 4: Navigation

A day at sea! It is the perfect time to enjoy the activities and services offered on board. Relaxation, discovery, sport … Everything is included, so let yourself go! Choose your own program! You can relax and enjoy the sunshine beside the pool, unless you prefer to try the relaxing spa universe of the ship. Day 5: Heraklion 07:00 – 16:00

Heraklion is the major city and capital of the largest Greek island, Crete. Its Archaeological Museum holds the remains of the 3000-year old Minoan civilization, which grew aroud the nearby legendary palace of Knossos (of Minotaur fame), as well as Byzantine churches and a well-preserved Venetian wall and fortress from the 15th century.

Day 6: Katakolon 10:00 – 18:00

Katakolon is a seaside town in western Ilia in the municipality of Pyrgos. The town center is within a gulf overlooking the Ionian Sea. Katakolon is situated on a peninsula and has a lighthouse in the southwest, which was first opened in 1865.

Katakolon is considered to be a gateway to Olympia, where the ancient Greeks flocked every four years for more than a millennium to celebrate the sacred games dedicated to Zeus. You can visit the ruins of the Sanctuary, with its athletic quadrangles, stadium, temples and treasuries. The Archaeological Museum, a treasure house of Archaic, Classical and Roman sculptures, including the famous Niki Winged Victory are just some of the other sites one can enjoy while being in Katakolon.

Day 7: Navigation

Day 8: Civitavecchia – Rome 08:00 – 18:00

No other city comes close. It may no longer be caput mundi (capital of the world), but Rome is an epic, bubbling-over metropolis harbouring lost empires. One visit and you’ll be hooked. Rome has a glorious monumentality that it wears without reverence. Its architectural heirlooms are buzzed around by car and Vespa as if they were no more than traffic islands.
The city bombards you with images: elderly ladies with dyed hair chatting in Trastevere; priests with cigars strolling the Imperial Forums; traffic jams around the Colosseum; plateloads of pasta in Piazza Navona; sinuous trees beside the Villa Borghese; barrages of pastel-coloured scooters revving up at traffic lights as if preparing for a race.

Day 9: Marseille 14:00

Marseille, the oldest city of France, was founded in 600 BC by Greeks from Phocaea as a trading port under the name Massalia. Nowadays it is the most populous French commune after Paris and is the center of the third largest metropolitan area in the country. To the east, starting in the small fishing village of Callelongue on the outskirts of Marseille and stretching as far as Cassis, are the Calanques, a rugged coastal area interspersed with small fjords. Further east still are the Sainte-Baume, a 1,147 m (3,763 ft) mountain ridge rising from a forest of deciduous trees, the town of Toulon and the French Riviera. To the north of Marseille, beyond the low Garlaban and Etoile mountain ranges, is the 1,011 m (3,317 ft) Mont Sainte Victoire. To the west of Marseille is the former artists’ colony of l’Estaque; further west are the Côte Bleue, the Gulf of Lion and the Camargue region in the Rhône delta.

Nowadays it is the most populous French commune after Paris and is the center of the third largest metropolitan area in the country. To the east, starting in the small fishing village of Callelongue on the outskirts of Marseille and stretching as far as Cassis, are the Calanques, a rugged coastal area interspersed with small fjords. Further east still are the Sainte-Baume, a 1,147 m (3,763 ft) mountain ridge rising from a forest of deciduous trees, the town of Toulon and the French Riviera. To the north of Marseille, beyond the low Garlaban and Etoile mountain ranges, is the 1,011 m (3,317 ft) Mont Sainte Victoire. To the west of Marseille is the former artists’ colony of l’Estaque; further west are the Côte Bleue, the Lion Gulf and the Camargue region in the Rhône delta.

Day 2: Florence 09:00

Florence is the capital city of the Italian region of Tuscany and of the province of Florence. The city lies on the River Arno and is known for its history and its importance in the Middle Ages and in the Renaissance, especially for its art and architecture. A centre of medieval European trade and finance and one of the richest and wealthiest cities of the time[3], Florence is often considered the birthplace of the Italian Renaissance; in fact, it has been called the Athens of the Middle Ages. The historic center of Florence continues to attract millions of tourists each year and was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1982. Florence is widely regarded as one of the most beautiful cities in the world, and its artistic[7], historic and cultural heritage and impact in the world remain vast up to this day.

Day 2: Livorno – 19:00

The impressive Duomo, crowned by the magnificent dome by Brunelleschi. The David de Michelangelo, contemplating for centuries the Piazza della Signoria. The offices, the powerful Medicis palace, which houses masterpieces from Boticcelli, Michelangelo, Titian and Giotto. The remains of the most famous Renaissance poet, Dante. And Santa Croce, where lie the two most famous children of Florence: Galileo and Michelangelo. No city on earth can match the Renaissance glories of Florence.

Day 4: Naples 08:00 – 16:00

The origins of this extraordinary historical and cultural center, whose culinary and musical traditions have been exported around the world are rather old. According to legend, the city of Naples’ origins are rooted in the myth of the Siren Parthenope (”of the voice of virgins”). Her body washed up on the shore of nearby Megaride, a tiny island in the Bay of Naples, was found by the locals, who respectfully interred her remains in Mount Echia, now the hill of Pizzofalcone. Dominated by Mount Vesuvius, whose smoking headdress plumes every corner of the city and each illustration, which represents it represents, Naples is undoubtedly a very exciting city, both because of its geographical position and the abundance of historical artifacts and monuments. Vesuvius is the only active volcano in mainland Europe, and has produced some of the continent’s largest volcanic eruptions. Located on Italy’s west coast, it overlooks the Bay and City of Naples and sits in the crater of the ancient Somma volcano. Vesuvius is most famous for the 79 AD eruption which destroyed the Roman cities of Pompeii and Herculaneum.

Day 5: Sousse 12:00 – 20:00

Third city of Tunisia after Tunis and Sfax, Sousse owes its status as the undoubted capital of the region to these assets :

* An olive grove stretching over more than 2,500 square kilometers, constituting one of its main riches since Antiquity;
* A busy port, open to the town center and giving a touch of happiness to its activity;
* A medina of great historical interest, surrounded by its fortifications, which continues to live at its own rhythm, harmoniously contrasting with the modern city of typically Mediterranean charm;
* A seaside resort stretching to the north, making up together with the integrated complex of Port El Kantaoui one of the most complete and most diversified tourist zones of the Mediterranean, at only 20 km from the international airport of Monastir. As a sea town, Sousse benefits from a moderate and mild climate promoting all the pleasures which a tourist could desire and making it an all-season resort.

Smaller and quieter than its neighbor Mallorca, Menorca (Minorca) is the second largest of the Balearic islands. The blue and white island has preserved its wild charm as the rocks of the north coast, rugged and battered by frequent blow “Tramuntana” seem inhabited for miles. The beaches in the South of Menorca, migjorn, of white sand, are mostly surrounded by pine woods with rich vegetation. The northern coast, la tramuntana, is steeper, with rocks, of great beauty. Mahón, the capital, is probably the liveliest place on the island. In the area called Anden Poniente, close to the port, you will be able to enjoy all kind of local restaurants, cafeterias, bars, locals with live music and discotheques. Legend tells that the winds of Menorca modify one’s personality of. Maybe that is the reason why those who visited once mostly return.
